Having ceased listening to the FM since about the day my mother let me dress myself, it's safe to say I've been listening to tapes and CDs as my sole source of music for probably 18 years now.

I got a new car this past weekend... comes with a Sirius radio. Wifey automatically loves it for the Classical and Elvis channel. She's an easy sell when it comes to music. I'm way to picky, and like my father I listen to the oldies... my oldies. Where he still loves Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, and the Beach Boys... Fugazi, Naked Raygun, and Primus still get a weekly play on my stereo.

In channel surfing Sirius (as bad as bloody cable TV) I come across a display reading PUNK. I "heh" and think yeah right. Expecting to hear whatever watered down and redone version of punk that todays kids are listening to... I was blown away.

Ramones
Clash
Black Flag (Dez even!!!)
Rise Against (chicago love!)
The Vandals
NOFX
Dead Kennedys
and...
Fugazi!

Just wow... that's all I can say.

come back and report in 6 months. I got XM loved it then after 6 months I found out that all the stations that played all that music that I never heard on the radio, still repeat their music the same way, its just different music.

certainly cannot repeat any more than my "moldy" CD collection.

Obviously they will repeat songs... it's the "different" that I am pleased with.
