Yeah, we were saying the same thing... But what we were talking about is that in a communist country like that, what's to keep them from falsifying documents?
And if the "original" documents (like a birth certificate or whatever) have been destroyed, how do you ever prove that the girls AREN'T the age they are claimed to be. |

Four of the six members of the gold-medal-winning Chinese womens gymnastic team are reported to be under the required age to compete in the olympics. Athletes must turn 16 before the end of the calendar year in which the games are held. Official competition entry lists and news articles from a few years ago showing that two of them are definitely underage have been retroactively modified by the Chinese government this week.
The IOC has declined to do anything about it. |
